Darkhorse is a quiet community located in southern Nevada County, California. This community is about 1600 feet above sea level and is above the valley fog and below the Sierra snowline. It’s located about an hour’s drive northeast from Sacramento off of Interstate 80 and near historic Highway 49 about midway between the historic old gold rush towns of Auburn, Grass Valley, and Nevada City.
